1. Can I put hot pans on the countertop?
You should never put a hot pan on any surface. We always send out trivets for you to use with hot pans; lt will take the heat up to about 375 degrees.
2. Can you cut on it?
You really shouldn't cut on any countertop. If you do cut on it, you could scratch it but you will ruin your knife.
3. Does it stain?
No, because it is non-porous, so nothing can penetrate it. However, you could get a surface stain. Soap and water will wipe away most stains.
4. How do you clean this type of countertop?
You use soap and water or glass cleaner. For stubborn or dried spills, use a nonabrasive cleaner such as Countertop MagicĀ® or a comparable cleaning
product.
5. Does it scratch?
Minor scratches and burns can be buffed away by the homeowner using a wet Scotch-Brite⢠sponge in large circular motions. More serious damage usually can be inconspicuously repaired by your certified installer.
6. Why are solid surface products a good value?
The beauty, durability, and long-term performance make them an exceptional value for any environment. They are solid throughout and can withstand most of the challenges of daily use. It can be easily refinished to its original appearance if the surface is nicked, cut, marred or scratched. As a result, they will retain their original beauty for many years to come.
7. How long will it take to have my countertops fabricated and installed?
Once your cabinets are ready to be measured, it typically takes from one to three weeks for us to measure, fabricate and install your countertops.
8. How do I maintain my surface?
Generally, you can use soapy water or any ammonia based cleaner, and then simply rinse and dry. Each surface has unique characteristics that affect the proper course of care and maintenance. Common sense, in terms of limiting surface exposure to excessive blunt force, scratching, heat, or chemicals, is always advised. Please refer to our Care and Maintenance instructions.
9. Will my new countertop material have a warranty?
Most manufacturers have generous warranties of ten years or more.
Installing solid surfacing is an investment, but if you care for it properly, your countertop will always look brand new.
